Birds Of Prey

Within the Shelter universe, a large bird may attack the young of both the badger and the lynx, and if ignored will kill one. What exactly this bird is could be debated- there are a number of birds of prey native to Russia, among them golden eagles and steppe eagles, both of which would be large enough to take a small, young badger or lynx. Because of this, any bird of prey- falcon, eagle, owl or kite- native to Russia is allowed on this site.
